My name is Camille Godin. I completed my dual degrees at University of Ottawa in 2022. I grew up in the city of Greater Sudbury and chose to pursue my studies in Ottawa. I was accepted in the integrated program of Bachelor and Commerce and Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa. This is a unique program and the only integrated program like it offered in french in Canada. That being said my first language is French and it was a perfect opportunity to maintain and further develop my French.
I first realized I wanted to pursue a career in law in high school. I had a teacher that had studied law at University and he really made me see how much I loved the subject. I've also had a big passion for business. I took accounting classes and quickly realized, the business world interested me as well. I entered the integrated program at the University of Ottawa knowing one day I would like to become a corporate lawyer. That is why I chose to do my internship at HazloLaw a corporate law boutique in Ottawa and why I am currently articling at LaBarge Weinstein LLP. They helped me discover numerous skills and abilities that will help me out in the field of business law.
